 Amazing Sights Along the Way

Fraser River Swing Bridge

  • Originally built as a double-deck bridge for vehicle, pedestrian, and rail traffic to cross the Fraser River in New Westminster, the swing bridge was converted to a single-deck rail-only bridge in 1937.

Puget Sound

  • Puget Sound is a complex system of interconnected marine waterways and basins extending from Deception Pass, in the north, to Olympia, Washington in the south.

Chuckanut Bay

  • Chuckanut is derived from the Native American word meaning "beach on a bay with a small entrance". This is the only spot where the mountains of the Cascade Range meet the sea.

White Rock

  • Famous for its long pier, beaches, and of course the giant white rock at the water's edge, which legend has it a sea god cast across the ocean to display his strength.
