VENICE SIMPLON-ORIENT-EXPRESS

To embark on a voyage aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train is to become part of its ever-changing history. As the gleaming carriages pull in and the uniformed steward welcomes guests aboard, they'll know that the journey of a lifetime has begun.

Though associated with the glamour of the Roaring Twenties, the golden age of travel is still alive and well today. Passengers will savour beautiful surroundings, dine on spectacular cuisine, and connect with like-minded adventurers united in the shared joy of travel.

The Train

The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is quite unlike anything else your clients will have experienced. Carriages date to the 1920s and '30s, lovingly restored to their former glory to recreate one of the finest luxury experiences the world has ever known.

During the day, Double Cabins are configured as a lounge with a banquette sofa, footstool and small table. At night it becomes a cosy bedroom with an upper and lower bed.

Cabin Suites consist of two interconnecting cabins. Choose between two single beds, or keep one cabin as a lounge with upper and lower beds in the other.

All cabins have their own washbasin cabinet with hot and cold water, complete with soft towels, soap, dressing robes and slippers. A lavatory is situated at the end of each carriage.

Dining

Exceptional European cuisine is freshly prepared in the train's kitchen by Chef Christian Bodiguel and his skilled team.

Fresh ingredients are taken on board at stops along the route. Set-menus are included as part of your trip; drinks and à la carte options are available at an additional charge.

There are three beautifully restored 1920s restaurant cars. Côte d'Azur, boasting Lalique glass panels, Etoile du Nord with its beautiful marquetry, and L' Oriental, decorated in black lacquer.

At the heart of the train, the stylish Bar Car offers a welcoming environment in which to relax over cocktails or coffee. Chat to fellow guests or enjoy music from the resident pianist.

Journeys and Destinations

The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express travels to some of the greatest cities that Europe has to offer.

The classic journey travels overnight between London and Venice, encountering breathtaking scenery en-route through France and Switzerland. The journey can also be enjoyed as a shorter trip, from London or Venice to Paris.

Throughout the year, other trips include not-to-be-missed destinations such as Budapest, Istanbul, Prague, Vienna and Stockholm.
